Manufacturing Assistant Production Manager

Job Summary

Metro Plus Lifestyle is looking for an experienced Production & Purchase Executive to manage vendor coordination, production planning, and procurement activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in the furniture manufacturing industry and be capable of handling multiple vendors while ensuring timely production and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Place production orders with approved vendors based on project requirements.

Coordinate with vendors for the manufacturing of furniture as per approved drawings and specifications.

Follow up with vendors on a daily basis to ensure production schedules are met.

Monitor production progress and resolve any delays or quality-related issues.

Coordinate with the design, sales, project, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Arrange and monitor the procurement of raw materials and purchased items as required.

Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with vendors.

Maintain purchase orders, production schedules, vendor records, and documentation.

Ensure products meet the required quality standards before dispatch.

Coordinate logistics and dispatch schedules with vendors and transporters.

Prepare regular production and purchase status reports for management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Diploma (preferred).

3–7 years of experience in furniture production, purchasing, or vendor management.

Experience in handling customized furniture projects is preferred.

Strong knowledge of wood, metal, upholstery, laminates, hardware, and furniture manufacturing processes.

Good negotiation and vendor management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems (preferred).

Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in hospitality furniture, hotel projects, office furniture, modular furniture, interior fit-outs, or customized furniture manufacturing will be preferred.
