Job Description

Job Summary

The Depot Worker will support daily warehouse and dispatch operations at the Chennai depot. The role involves handling, packing, labeling, and movement of laboratory chemicals and finished goods while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Handling

Load and unload chemical products and packing materials
Move goods within warehouse using manual or basic equipment
Ensure proper stacking and storage as per guidelines

2. Packing & Dispatch

Assist in packing finished goods as per company standards
Check labels, batch numbers, and packaging accuracy before dispatch
Prepare shipments for domestic and export orders

3. Safety & Compliance

Follow all SOPs and safety guidelines while handling chemicals
Use PPE (gloves, mask, etc.) during operations
Report any damage, leakage, or safety hazards immediately

4. Inventory Support

Assist in stock counting and inventory updates
Maintain proper records of incoming and outgoing materials
Support warehouse team in stock organization

5. Housekeeping

Maintain cleanliness of depot and work area
Ensure proper disposal of waste materials
Keep tools and equipment in good condition

6. Team Coordination

Work closely with packing, QC, and logistics teams
Follow instructions from supervisors
Support smooth daily operations and timely dispatch

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Minimum 10th / 12th Pass
Experience: 0–2 years (Fresher can apply)
Skills:
- Basic understanding of warehouse work
- Ability to handle physical tasks
- Discipline and teamwork
- Basic reading/writing (for labels & records)
