Responsibilities:-
Lab Technician - Food and Agricultural Commodities is responsible for ensuring quality products through sampling of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products and shelf-life samples for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Key responsibilities
Testing: Perform routine and specialized tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications. This includes chemical and physical analysis for factors like moisture, salt, and nutrient content.
Sampling: Collect samples from various stages of production and packaging for analysis.
Data management: Accurately record, compile, and analyze test results. Prepare graphs, charts, and reports to communicate findings.
Equipment maintenance: Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
Quality assurance: Monitor and audit quality systems and paperwork, such as HACCP.
Compliance: Follow and ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines, including GLP.
Troubleshooting: Assist with the investigation of out-of-specification results, customer complaints, or contaminated products.
Inventory management: Order and maintain stock of necessary laboratory supplies and chemicals.
