Network Engineer

Modem Configuration (CPE - Customer Premises Equipment):

• Provision and configure customer broadband modems or routers (Wi-Fi SSID, encryption, LAN settings, VLAN tagging).

• Set up PPPoE, DHCP, static IPs, DNS, port forwarding, and firewall rules.

• Configure modems remotely via TR-069 ACS platforms or manually via CLI/Web UI.

• Perform firmware upgrades and apply remote troubleshooting.

• Monitor modem performance and resolve connectivity or configuration issues.

🔧 OLT Configuration (Optical Line Terminal):

• Configure OLTs for PON services (GPON/EPON/XGSPON), including line profiles and service profiles.

• Register and provision ONTs/ONUs with correct serial numbers and profiles.

• Create and manage VLANs for internet, VoIP, and IPTV services.

• Set bandwidth profiles (QoS) and apply traffic shaping or service limits.

• Monitor fiber signal levels (RX/TX), diagnose alarms (LOS, LOF), and replace faulty ONTs or splitters.

• Integrate OLT systems with AAA servers (RADIUS) for customer authentication.
