Computer Operator

• System monitoring:

  Watch for operating and error messages on computer systems and networks to ensure smooth operation. 

• Hardware and software maintenance:

  Perform routine maintenance, install software and updates, and troubleshoot malfunctions in both hardware and software. 

• Data management:

  Input, update, and manage data, as well as perform regular backups to prevent data loss. 

• Troubleshooting:

  Respond to and resolve technical issues, ranging from hardware malfunctions to software bugs. 

• Security:

  Follow security protocols to protect sensitive information, including setting up passwords and encrypting data. 

• System operation:

  Enter commands, set controls, and manage daily computer jobs according to specific instructions and schedules. 

• Support:

  Assist other staff with their computer-related queries and problems. 

• Collaboration:

  Work with IT teams on updates, testing, and other IT-related tasks. 

• Documentation:

  Maintain records of system performance, malfunctions, and completed backups.
