A ward boy, also known as a ward attendant or orderly, is a non-medical support staff member in a hospital or clinic. Their primary role is to assist patients with daily living activities, maintain cleanliness, and transport patients and equipment within the facility.
This includes helping patients with personal hygiene (bathing, toileting, dressing), mobility (moving in and out of bed, walking), and feeding.
Ward boys are responsible for keeping patient rooms, wards, and common areas clean and tidy.
