Core Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe day-to-day duties of a Demat account telecaller typically include:

• Outbound Calling: Making daily calls to leads provided by the company or generated through marketing campaigns to introduce Demat and trading account services.

• Product Explanation: Clearly explaining the features, benefits, and process of opening a Demat account, often in simple, jargon-free language.

• Lead Conversion: Convincing potential clients to open an account and guiding them until the account is fully activated

• KYC and Documentation Assistance: Helping customers with the documentation required for KYC, form submission, and resolving any issues that arise during the digital onboarding process.

• Follow-ups: Conducting timely follw-ups via phone or WhatsApp with leads who need more time or information to complete the registration.

• Query Handling: Addressing basic customer queries related to the stock market, trading platforms, and investment products, and escalating complex technical or advisory queries to the relevant team.

• CRM and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of daily calls, leads, follow-ups, and conversions in a CRM system or Excel, and preparing daily reports for the sales team.

• Target Achievement: Working towards and meeting daily, weekly, and monthly targets for the number of calls made and accounts opened

Key Skills and RequirementsTo be effective in this role, a telecaller usually needs:

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills in the local language (and often English or Hindi) to explain financial concepts clearly.

• Basic Financial Knowledge: A basic understanding of the stock market, equity, mutual funds, and Demat/trading accounts is highly preferred.

• Persuasion and Rapport Building: The ability to build rapport quickly and convince users to complete the account opening process.

• Tech Savviness: Familiarity with using a smartphone for calls and WhatsApp, and basic CRM or Excel skills for data entry.

• Compliance Awareness: Ensuring all communication with clients is professional and compliant with company and regulatory (SEBI) requirements.

This role is often open to freshers, with training provided on the products and sales process.
