JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive for our textile manufacturing company. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of different types of fabrics and practical experience in textile, fabric, garment, wholesale or related sales.

The candidate will be responsible for handling customers, generating new business, developing relationships with wholesalers, retailers, dealers and other buyers, understanding their fabric requirements and converting enquiries into sales.

Candidates with strong fabric knowledge and existing experience in textile/fabric sales will be preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Generate new sales opportunities for the company's textile and fabric products.

• Identify and approach potential customers, wholesalers, retailers, dealers, garment manufacturers, fashion businesses and other bulk buyers.

• Handle incoming enquiries and convert them into sales.

• Develop new customer accounts and maintain long-term business relationships.

• Follow up regularly with existing and potential customers.

• Achieve assigned sales targets and business development goals.

• Maintain proper records of enquiries, quotations, orders and customer follow-ups.

2. FABRIC KNOWLEDGE

• Understand different types of fabrics, their properties, quality and applications.

• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable fabrics accordingly.

• Explain fabric quality, composition, finish, texture, usage and other relevant specifications to customers.

• Understand fabric pricing and negotiate commercially with customers.

• Coordinate with the production and internal teams regarding fabric availability, specifications and customer requirements.

• Stay updated with market trends, fabric demand and customer preferences.

3. CUSTOMER HANDLING

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

• Understand customer requirements, quantity requirements, quality expectations and delivery timelines.

• Provide customers with appropriate product information and fabric samples when required.

• Handle customer queries professionally and provide timely solutions.

• Follow up on quotations and pending orders.

• Ensure smooth coordination between customers and the internal team.

4. B2B SALES

• Develop business with textile wholesalers, fabric retailers, garment manufacturers, boutiques, fashion brands, exporters and other B2B customers.

• Identify new business opportunities within the textile and fabric market.

• Maintain a database of potential and existing customers.

• Conduct regular follow-ups to generate repeat business.

• Work towards increasing customer base and sales volume.

5. ORDER & SALES COORDINATION

• Coordinate with customers regarding product selection, quantity, pricing and delivery requirements.

• Coordinate with internal teams for order processing and dispatch.

• Keep customers updated regarding order status.

• Ensure accurate communication of customer requirements to the concerned departments.

• Follow up for payments wherever required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of fabrics and textiles is mandatory.

• Previous experience in textile/fabric sales is preferred.

• Experience in B2B sales will be an advantage.

• Good understanding of fabric quality, types and applications.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Good customer-handling skills.

• Ability to generate new business and develop customer relationships.

• Target-oriented and result-focused approach.

• Good follow-up and relationship-management skills.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, WhatsApp and other business communication tools.

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for sales targets.

Candidates with an existing understanding of the fabric market, textile buyers and B2B customers will be given preference.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT

This position is specifically for candidates who have practical knowledge of fabrics and previous experience in textile/fabric sales.

Candidates who have only general retail sales experience but do not have knowledge of fabrics/textiles may not be suitable for this position.
