Gravity dies).
Inspect dies for cracks, erosion, soldering, wear, and damage.
Carry out polishing, welding, insert replacement, and die correction.
Ensure proper die alignment and clamping condition.
2. Preventive Maintenance
Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules for casting dies.
Monitor die life and cycle counts.
Conduct regular inspections for cooling lines, ejector pins, sliders, and cores.
3. Production Support
Coordinate with production and machine operators during die installation and
changeover.
Ensure dies are ready and optimized before production starts.
Support production during casting defects troubleshooting.
4. Troubleshooting Casting Issues
Analyze defects such as:
o Porosity
o Flash
o Cold shuts
o Die soldering
o Shrinkage
Identify whether defects are related to die condition, cooling, or alignment.
