QA / Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a Application Support Engineer to join our team . The Applications Engineer will be responsible for sizing, selection, proposal preparation, and technical support for Safety Valves, Control Valves, PRVs, Pneumatic Valves, and Automatic Control Valves.

An Applications Engineer acts as the technical bridge between customers, sales teams, and manufacturing/engineering departments. The role involves understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable technical solutions, preparing quotations, providing technical support, and ensuring successful implementation of products and systems.

In industries such as valves, automation, instrumentation, pumps, compressors, and industrial equipment, Applications Engineers play a critical role in product selection, proposal preparation, technical evaluation, and customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Requirement Analysis

• Review customer inquiries, RFQs (Request for Quotations), tenders, and technical specifications.

• Understand process conditions and application requirements.

• Analyze engineering documents such as:

  • P&IDs

  • Process Data Sheets

  • Equipment Specifications

  • GA Drawings

  • Isometric Drawings

  • Instrumentation Diagrams

• Clarify technical requirements with customers and consultants & EPC contractors.

2. Product Selection & Engineering

• Select suitable products based on process conditions and customer specifications.

• Perform engineering calculations and sizing.

• Recommend:

  • Safety Relief Valves (SRV)

  • Pressure Safety Valves (PSV)

  • Control Valves

  • Pressure Reducing Valves (PRV)

  • Pneumatic Valves

  • Automatic Control Valves

  • Actuators and Accessories

• Verify:

  • Pressure ratings

  • Temperature ratings

  • Material compatibility

  • Flow capacity requirements

  • Applicable industry standards

3. Valve Sizing and Technical Calculations

• Perform technical calculations

• Calculate valve sizing

• Fluid flow calculations

• Pressure loss calculations

• Line sizing verification

4. Tender and Bid Management

• Prepare technical bid for tenders.

• Prepare compliance matrices.

• Coordinate bid submission deadlines.

• Support government and private sector tender participation.

5. Technical Support to Sales Team

• Participate in technical presentations & support negotiations through technical clarifications.

• Help sales teams identify suitable solutions.

6. Coordination with Internal Teams

Work closely with:

• Design Engineering

• Quality Assurance

• Project Management

• Service Department

7. Documentation Management

Prepare and maintain:

• Datasheets

• Compliance Statements

• Technical Specifications

• Calculation Sheets

• Valve Sizing Reports

• Inspection Documents

• Technical Submittals

Additional Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Instrumentation Engineering

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Production Engineering

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Engineering (optional)

Experience

Entry to Mid Level

• 0–2 years in technical sales or strong application engineering.
