Production Manager

Job Title: Production Manager

Department: Production
Location: Madurai
Reports To: Senior Manager

1. Production Management (Output & Efficiency)

·  Planning: Develop and execute weekly and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts and inventory levels.

·  Resource Allocation: Manage manpower across multiple shifts to ensure optimal line balancing.

·  Process Optimization: Implement Lean manufacturing and 5S methodologies to reduce waste and improve workflow.

·  Quality Assurance: Oversee SOPs to prevent product non-conformities, such as lump formation or packaging defects.

2. Maintenance & Asset Management

·  Preventive Maintenance (PM): Establish and enforce PM schedules for all critical machinery (conveyors, granulators, packing machines).

·  Breakdown Response: Lead rapid-response troubleshooting to minimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

·  Spare Parts: Manage procurement and stock levels for critical spares to ensure 100% availability for long-lead items.

·  Utilities: Oversee plant utilities including electricity, water systems, and compressed air.

3. Compliance, Safety, and Systems

·  IMS Certification: Maintain documentation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

·  Safety Leadership: Conduct regular safety audits and "Toolbox Talks" to ensure 100% PPE compliance.

·  Audit Readiness: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits.

Candidate Requirements

·  Experience: A minimum of 10 years in a modern manufacturing process.

·  Qualification: Must hold a Master’s Degree in a relevant field.

·  Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in System Work (ERP/DMS) and structural technical knowledge.

·  Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience with PEB & Civil construction and specialized chemical storage (RM/FG).
