A Plant Manpower Supervisor is responsible for managing and controlling all workers’ manpower in the entire plant, ensuring the right number of workers are available in each department for smooth production.
Main Responsibilities
Manpower Planning
Decide how many workers are required in each department (Production, Quality, Packing, etc.).
Allocate manpower according to production load.
Supervision of Workers
Monitor operators during production.
Ensure workers follow SOP, work instructions, and safety rules.
Worker Deployment
Assign operators and helpers to machines or processes.
Shift manpower if any department has a shortage.
Attendance & Leave Control
Monitor worker attendance, leave, and absenteeism.
Arrange replacement manpower if someone is absent.
Shift Management
Manage manpower for day shift / night shift.
Ensure every shift has sufficient workers.
Productivity Monitoring
Ensure workers are performing efficiently.
Identify idle manpower and redistribute if needed.
Training & Discipline
Train new workers.
Maintain discipline and follow safety rules in the plant.
