Job Summary:

The Laundry Helper assists in the daily operations of the laundry facility by sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding, and delivering clothes or linen as required. The role supports the smooth functioning of the laundry department and ensures cleanliness, hygiene, and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and tag laundry items (linen, uniforms, guest clothes, etc.) according to type, color, and washing requirements.

• Load and unload washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely.

• Assist in stain removal and spot cleaning.

• Operate basic laundry machinery under supervision.

• Fold, iron, and pack laundered items neatly and correctly.

• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area and machines.

• Report any malfunction or maintenance issues immediately to the Supervisor.

• Follow safety and hygiene protocols at all times.

• Assist in inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages.

• Support delivery and collection of laundry from rooms or departments if required.

• Basic knowledge of laundry procedures and equipment operation.

• Ability to work long hours and handle physical tasks.
