Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and hotel. The candidate will be responsible for managing staff, monitoring attendance and break timings, maintaining hygiene and discipline, coordinating customer orders, overseeing basic accounts, and ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
The Operations Manager will act as the key point of coordination between the management, hotel/restaurant staff, kitchen, customers, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Staff Management
Supervise and manage all restaurant and hotel staff on a daily basis.
Maintain accurate staff attendance, shift timings, and break timings.
Ensure employees report to work on time and follow their assigned duties.
Prepare and monitor staff duty rosters and shifts.
Monitor staff performance, discipline, behaviour, and productivity.
Coordinate leave requests and staff replacements when required.
Ensure adequate manpower is available during peak hours.
2. Restaurant Operations
Oversee the complete daily functioning of the restaurant.
Coordinate between the kitchen, service staff, cashier, and customers.
Ensure customer orders are taken correctly and processed without unnecessary delays.
Monitor food preparation and service time and ensure orders reach customers as quickly as possible while maintaining quality.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and service-related issues professionally.
Ensure tables, dining areas, kitchen surroundings, washrooms, and other customer areas are clean and properly maintained.
3. Hotel Operations
Supervise the daily operations of hotel staff and ensure rooms and common areas are properly maintained.
Monitor housekeeping activities and ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments for smooth guest service.
Ensure guests receive prompt and professional service.
4. Accounts & Cash Management
Monitor daily sales, cash collections, expenses, and basic financial records.
Coordinate with the cashier and accounts team to ensure proper recording of transactions.
Verify daily cash and payment collections.
Monitor wastage, unnecessary expenses, and operational costs.
Ensure bills, receipts, purchases, and other relevant records are properly maintained.
Report any discrepancies in cash, stock, or accounts to management immediately.
5. Inventory & Stock Control
Monitor food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, and other operational stock.
Check incoming materials and ensure quantities are properly recorded.
Monitor daily consumption and wastage.
Identify shortages, unusual consumption, or discrepancies and report them to management.
Ensure stock is stored safely and systematically.
6. Hygiene, Safety & Cleanliness
Ensure strict hygiene and cleanliness standards are followed throughout the restaurant and hotel.
Regularly inspect the kitchen, dining area, washrooms, rooms, storage areas, and other premises.
Ensure staff follow proper personal hygiene and grooming standards.
Monitor food handling and housekeeping practices.
Take immediate corrective action when hygiene or safety standards are not followed.
7. Loss Prevention & Security
Maintain strict control over stock, cash, equipment, and company property.
Monitor for theft, unauthorized removal of materials, wastage, or misuse of company resources.
Ensure staff follow proper procedures for handling cash, stock, food, and other assets.
Report any suspected theft, fraud, stock discrepancies, or misconduct to management immediately.
Coordinate with security personnel and review CCTV footage when required.
8. Customer Service
Interact professionally with customers and hotel guests.
Ensure customer requirements and complaints are addressed promptly.
Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
Collect customer feedback and communicate recurring issues to management.
Ensure customers receive their orders accurately and within the expected preparation/service time.
9. Reporting to Management
Submit daily operational updates to management.
Report staff attendance, absences, late arrivals, and disciplinary issues.
Provide daily sales, cash, stock, wastage, and operational reports as required.
Immediately escalate serious customer complaints, financial discrepancies, staff issues, or security concerns.
Required Skills & Qualities

Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak hours.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel, billing/POS systems, attendance records, and daily reporting is preferred.
