MIS Executive

An MIS Executive (Management Information Systems Executive) in the mobile retail industry is responsible for managing sales data, inventory reports, business analytics, and operational information that help management make decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

• Tracking mobile phone and accessory inventory across stores.

• Monitoring stock movement, stock aging, and replenishment needs.

• Maintaining databases and ensuring data accuracy.

• Creating reports using Excel, spreadsheets, or ERP software.

• Analyzing sales performance by brand, model, store, or region.

• Coordinating with sales, warehouse, and accounts teams.

• Generating management dashboards and KPI reports.

Common Skills Required

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, formulas).

• Data analysis and reporting.

• Knowledge of ERP or retail management software.

• Basic SQL and database knowledge (often preferred).

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

Typical Daily Tasks

1. Download sales data from retail systems.

2. Update inventory and stock reports.

3. Generate store-wise and product-wise performance reports.

4. Identify discrepancies in sales or stock records.

5. Share reports with managers and department heads.
