Job Description – Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and experience in handling multiple client accounts and finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete accounting operations and financial transactions.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Handle finalization of accounts and financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.

• Review ledger accounts, reconciliations, and financial records.

• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

• Prepare MIS reports and management reports.

• Ensure timely closure of books and accurate financial reporting.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.

• Experience in finalization of accounts and audit support.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Tally Prime.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CA Final / MBA Finance or equivalent.

• 3–7 years of relevant accounting experience.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in consulting, CA firms, or corporate finance functions.

• Strong understanding of GST returns, TDS filings, and statutory compliance.

• Ability to independently handle end-to-end accounting operations.
