Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting business decision-making through financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, General Ledger)
Prepare and review financial statements (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and company policies
Handle bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Monitor cash flow and manage budgets
Assist in audit preparation and coordinate with auditors
Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances (India-specific)
Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management
Oversee payroll accounting and expense tracking
Identify process improvements and implement best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4–8 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks)
Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian taxation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Excel
