Job Title: Senior Accountant – Manufacturing Industry
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the manufacturing industry. The candidate should have excellent knowledge of audits, bank reconciliation, payroll, GST, TDS, and overall accounting operations, along with E-commerce accounting exposure. The role requires strong compliance knowledge, accuracy, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts in line with applicable accounting standards
Handle bank reconciliations and monitor daily banking and cash transactions
Manage GST compliance, including return filing, reconciliations, audits, and assessments
Handle TDS calculations, deductions, returns, and statutory compliances
Process salaries and payroll, including PF, ESI, PT, and other statutory deductions
Coordinate and support internal and statutory audits, including preparation of audit schedules
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
Manage accounting related to manufacturing operations, including inventory and cost accounting
Handle E-commerce accounting, including online sales reconciliation, payment gateway settlements, commissions, and platform-wise reporting
Liaise with auditors, banks, tax consultants, and government authorities
Identify and implement process improvements for better financial control and compliance
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (CA / CMA preferred)
5–8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, audits, payroll, bank reconciliation, and E-commerce accounting
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance
Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems / MS Excel
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication and coordination skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
Experience in manufacturing cost accounting
Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Prior experience in handling statutory and tax audits
