Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain financial records in Tally, and handle tax/compliance requirements for our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Tally software, factory inventory tracking, GST/TDS compliance, and daily voucher entries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Accounting & Data Entry

• Perform accurate daily entries in Tally (Sales, Purchase, Bank, Cash, Journal Vouchers, Contra Vouchers).

• Process vendor invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and manage account payables (AP).

• Generate customer invoices, track accounts receivable (AR), and follow up on outstanding payments.

• Manage daily petty cash entries and maintain accurate cash logs for factory expenses.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations (BRS).

2. Factory & Inventory Accounting

• Maintain records of raw material purchases, scrap/wastage, and finished goods movement.

• Conduct periodic physical inventory audits and reconcile stock with Tally records.

• Assist in tracking production-related operational expenses and overhead costs.

3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and perform GSTR-2B reconciliations.

• Handle TDS deductions, payment slips, and quarterly return filings.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

• Assist external Chartered Accountants (CAs) and auditors during statutory audit processes.

4. Payroll & Administrative Support

• Coordinate with factory HR/Admin to record attendance and process monthly payroll.

• Ensure timely calculations for PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax (PT) compliance.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / M.Com / CA Inter (preferred)

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or factory environment. Should have Jobwork related concepts experience

• Software Expertise: Expert hands-on proficiency in Tally (Tally.ERP 9 / Tally Prime) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

• Tax Knowledge: Strong practical understanding of GST, TDS, and basic factory labor laws/statutory compliances.

• Skills: High accuracy in data entry, strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
