Job Title: Junior Accountant
Job Summary
A Junior Accountant supports the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and assisting in the preparation of reports. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in accounting and looking to gain hands-on experience in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
Record daily financial transactions in accounting software
Maintain and update general ledger accounts
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Help prepare tax returns and compliance documents
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Assist senior accountants and auditors when required
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Good numerical and analytical skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
