Position: Senior Accountant
About the Role
We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting, taxation, and statutory compliance functions. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical ability, and ownership in handling client assignments with accuracy and timeliness.
The candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial records, supporting decision-making through MIS, and ensuring seamless coordination with clients and internal teams. The role also involves working extensively on Zoho Books and related Zoho applications, requiring hands-on proficiency in digital accounting environments.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & MIS
Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
Preparation and review of MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports.
Scrutiny of ledgers and finalisation of books of accounts.
Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
GST Compliance
Preparation and filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns.
Reconciliation of:
Input tax credit as per GSTR-2B vs Books vs GSTR-3B
Outward liability between GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B
Handling GST notices, assessments, and queries.
Preparation and filing of GST Annual Returns.
Income Tax & TDS
Filing of TDS returns and reconciliation with books.
26AS reconciliation with books of accounts.
Handling income tax compliance, including return filings and assessments.
Preparation of Form 15CA / 15CB.
Understanding and application of provisions under Income Tax laws (including new Income Tax Act 2025).
ROC & Corporate Compliance
Handling ROC compliances including:
AOC-4, MGT-7, DPT-3, DIR KYC, INC-22, ADT-1, ADT-3
Ensuring timely filings and regulatory compliance under the Companies Act.
Audit & Compliance
Assistance in audits and coordination with clients.
Scrutiny and validation of financial data for audit readiness.
Ensuring adherence to internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate effectively with clients, auditors, banks, and consultants.
Ability to independently handle client queries and discussions.
Demonstrate strong ownership in delivering assignments within defined timelines.
Maintain regular communication with partners, including timely updates and reporting on key matters.
Ability to guide, mentor, and manage junior team members, ensuring quality output and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
B.Com / M.Com / CMA (Inter/Qualified) / CS (Inter/Qualified) or equivalent
5–6 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
Key Requirements
Strong knowledge of:
GST, Income Tax, TDS, and ROC compliances
Companies Act, 2023
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and apply legal provisions.
Ability to handle end-to-end compliance independently.
Excellent communication skills:
Confident client interaction on calls
Strong and professional email communication
Technical Skills
Zoho Books / Zoho Suite – Proficient
Tally Prime – Expert level
Working knowledge of:
Computax, CompuGST, CompuROC
Advanced Excel skills (MIS, Pivot, VLOOKUP, reporting)
Salary & Benefits
₹30,000 – ₹45,000 per month (based on experience and skills)
