Accounts And Finance Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Executive with 3–5 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, project accounting, budgeting, and compliance while ensuring accurate financial reporting and cost control across construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledger entries

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and receivable

• Assist in preparation of MIS reports for management

2. Project Accounting

• Monitor project-wise budgets and track actual costs

• Manage revenue recognition as per project completion stages

• Coordinate with project managers for cost control and billing updates

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments

• Verify purchase orders and payment certifications

• Follow up on client payments and manage receivables aging

4. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Monitor project cash flow requirements

• Support financial planning and cost optimization initiatives

5. Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (GST/VAT, TDS, etc.)

• Prepare tax returns and coordinate with auditors

• Support internal and external audit processes

6. Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain proper documentation of contracts, invoices, and financial records

• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and project teams

• Support ERP/accounting system updates

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (B.Com / BBA / MBA Finance preferred)

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a construction or infrastructure company

• Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems)

• Good understanding of taxation and compliance requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience handling multiple construction projects simultaneously

• Knowledge of contract accounting and percentage-of-completion method

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling)

• Strong communication and coordination skills
