Audit & Accounts Manager – Key Responsibilities (Summary)

We are looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to oversee accounting, taxation, compliance, audit, and reporting functions for multiple client entities within a corporate services environment. The role demands strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage statutory deadlines.

Key responsibilities include supervision and review of end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring accuracy of books of accounts, reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and timely finalization of financial statements. The candidate will manage statutory and tax compliances including GST, TDS, and Income Tax, ensuring timely preparation and review of returns, tax computations, and payments. Responsibilities also include reconciliation of tax data, monitoring Input Tax Credit (ITC), and addressing notices or queries from authorities.

The role involves planning, coordination, and execution support for statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits. The manager will review audit schedules, ensure availability of documentation, identify compliance gaps, and assist in audit closure. Conducting internal audits, evaluating internal controls, assessing financial and operational risks, and recommending process improvements are key expectations.

The candidate will coordinate ROC / MCA compliance activities, track statutory due dates, liaise with consultants and Company Secretaries, and ensure corporate records and filings are maintained accurately. Preparation of MIS reports, financial analysis, budgeting support, cash flow monitoring, and management reporting form an important part of the role.

Additionally, the position requires active client handling and team management. The manager will act as a key point of contact for assigned clients, address queries, provide compliance guidance, allocate tasks to team members, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, leadership capability, and the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently under strict deadlines.
