Position: Office Accountant
Department: Accounts / Finance
Location: Thirumangalam, Madurai
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Salary: ₹15,000 per month
About the Role:
The Office Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and accounting activities of the organization. This role requires maintaining accurate financial records, managing billing and invoices, and supporting the company in financial reporting and documentation. The candidate should have basic accounting knowledge, familiarity with accounting software, and the ability to manage financial data with accuracy.
Educational Qualification:
B.Com or M.Com from a recognized university.
Candidates with a strong academic background in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce are preferred.
Experience:
0 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
Freshers with good accounting knowledge and Tally skills can also apply.
Age Limit:
Candidates should be below 40 years of age.

Male candidates only
Mandatory Requirements:
Candidate must have a two-wheeler for office-related work if required.
Working knowledge of Tally ERP 9 accounting software.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions.
Ability to understand and communicate basic English, especially for reading invoices, reports, and documents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining Daily Accounts
The accountant will maintain daily financial records including income, expenses, payments, and receipts. Proper documentation and accurate record keeping are essential for smooth financial management.
2. Billing and Invoice Management
The candidate will prepare and manage invoices, bills, and vouchers related to purchases and sales. They must ensure all invoices are recorded properly in the accounting system.
3. Tally ERP 9 Data Entry
The accountant will record financial transactions in Tally ERP 9, including purchase entries, sales entries, payment entries, and receipt entries. Maintaining accurate entries in the software is an important part of the role.
4. Financial Record Maintenance
Maintain and organize financial documents such as receipts, invoices, vouchers, and payment records for future reference and auditing purposes.
5. Purchase and Sales Record Management
Track and record purchase transactions and sales transactions, ensuring all financial records are accurate and updated regularly.
6. Financial Reporting Support
Assist the management in preparing basic financial reports, account summaries, and statements whenever required.
7. Coordination with Management
Communicate with management regarding financial transactions, payment updates, and account-related matters. Ensure transparency and proper reporting of financial activities.
Required Skills:
Basic Accounting Knowledge
Understanding of accounting fundamentals such as debit, credit, ledger entries, and financial records.
Attention to Detail
The candidate must be careful and accurate while recording financial transactions to avoid errors.
Computer Skills
Basic knowledge of computers and accounting software like Tally ERP 9, as well as Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
Communication Skills
Ability to communicate clearly with management and understand basic English related to financial documents.
Organizational Skills
Ability to organize financial records, documents, and reports in a systematic manner.
