Job Description: Image Editor (Photoshop Artist)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Image Editor proficient in Adobe Photoshop to enhance, retouch, and manipulate digital images for various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong visual aesthetic and the technical skills necessary to deliver high-quality visuals that align with our brand guidelines.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The Image Editor will be responsible for a range of image editing and manipulation tasks, including:

Image Manipulation and Retouching

·       Editing and retouching images using Adobe Photoshop.

·       Cropping, resizing, and rotating images.

·       Adjusting exposure, contrast, saturation, and white balance.

·       Removing unwanted objects or background elements.

·       Removing blemishes and retouching skin for portrait photography.

·       Applying filters and effects to enhance visuals.

Composite Creation and Design

·       Creating composite images by combining multiple images to form a new scene.

·       Layering images to achieve desired visual effects.

·       Adding graphic elements and text overlays.

Colour Correction and Management

·       Adjusting lighting and colour.

·       Matching colours across different images.

·       Applying colour grading to achieve specific aesthetic styles.

·       Adjusting colour profiles to ensure accurate print output

File Preparation and Optimization

·       Optimizing image formats for web and print usage.

·       Exporting images at the correct resolution and file size.

·       Managing digital asset libraries.

Collaboration and Communication

·       Working closely with designers, photographers, and marketing teams to understand project needs.

·       Receiving feedback and making necessary adjustments to images.

·       Ensuring visual consistency with brand guidelines.

·       Meeting project deadlines with a strong attention to detail.

·       Communicating design concepts and technical requirements effectively.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

·       Proficient in Adobe Photoshop: Deep understanding of all features and tools within the software.

·       Strong visual aesthetic: Excellent eye for detail and composition.

·       Technical skills: Knowledge of image file formats, colour modes, and resolution requirements.

·       Time management: Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines.

·       Communication skills: Ability to clearly convey design ideas and collaborate effectively with stakeholders26.
