We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foundry Tooling Designer proficient in Siemens NX (UG NX) software to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing tooling solutions for foundry processes, ensuring optimal performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
• Tooling Design: Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for foundry tooling, including patterns, cores, and gating systems, using Siemens NX
• Design Optimization: Apply principles of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) to enhance tooling efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure tooling designs meet functional and quality requirements
• Simulation & Analysis: Conduct simulations and analyses to validate tooling designs, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and maintenance guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling performance and reduce lead times
🎓 Education & Skills Required:
• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or related field
• Certifications: Certifications in Siemens NX or related CAD software.
• Experience: Experience with casting simulation software and knowledge of casting defects and remedies.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in foundry tooling design.
