JOB DESCRIPTION FOR RM:
A Relationship Manager in Insurance is responsible for managing client relationships, driving sales
of insurance products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and acting as a liaison between the client and
the insurance company. They play a key role in retaining policyholders and increasing cross-sell or
upsell opportunities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities

Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients (individuals or businesses).
Serve as the single point of contact for customer queries and policy-related concerns.
Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and policy renewals.

Identify potential clients and generate leads through networking, referrals, and cold
calls.
Promote and sell insurance products (life, health, auto, general, etc.) based on client
needs.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Understand the specific needs of clients and recommend suitable insurance policies.
Explain product features, benefits, and terms clearly and transparently.
Help clients with premium calculations and policy comparisons.

Guide clients through the claims process, ensuring all documentation is in order.
Coordinate with claims and underwriting teams to ensure timely settlement.
Address and resolve claims-related issues or grievances.

Monitor policy expiry dates and proactively reach out for renewals.
Offer better plans or add-ons to retain customers and avoid lapses.
Implement customer retention strategies for high-value clients.
� 6. Market Intelligence & Reporting
Keep updated on new insurance products, competitors, and market trends.
Gather client feedback and report it to management to improve products or services.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales pipelines.
