Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the dealership premises, workshop, service bays, offices, and customer areas. The role ensures uninterrupted electrical operations, safety compliance, and proper functioning of all electrical installations and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in workshop and dealership facilities.
Maintain electrical panels, wiring, lighting systems, power outlets, and distribution boards.
Monitor power consumption and identify opportunities for energy efficiency.
Equipment Support
Ensure proper functioning of workshop equipment such as:
Vehicle lifts
Air compressors
Wheel alignment machines
Washing equipment
Battery chargers
HVAC systems
Coordinate with external service providers for major electrical repairs when required.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to electrical safety standards and dealership policies.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
Ensure proper grounding, circuit protection, and electrical load management.
Maintain compliance with local electrical regulations and Toyota facility standards.
Facility Maintenance
Attend to electrical breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
Maintain emergency lighting, UPS systems, DG sets, and backup power systems.
Support dealership events and activities by ensuring electrical infrastructure readiness.
Assist in installation and relocation of electrical equipment.
Documentation
Maintain maintenance logs and service records.
Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
Track inventory of electrical spares and consumables.
Qualifications
ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Valid Electrical License (preferred).
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an automobile dealership, workshop, or industrial facility.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of DG sets, UPS systems, compressors, and workshop equipment.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Strong awareness of safety procedures and practices.
