Electrician

The Electrician will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring on ships under construction and repair. The role involves interpreting electrical drawings, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and connect electrical wiring, panels, lighting, and control systems on vessels.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

• Perform testing, fault diagnosis, and repairs of electrical equipment.

• Ensure compliance with marine electrical standards and safety protocols.

• Support commissioning, sea trials, and routine inspections.

• Collaborate with engineers, welders, and fitters to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical or relevant qualification.

• Experience in shipbuilding or marine electrical systems preferred.

• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards.

• Ability to work in confined spaces and on-site at shipyards.
