Role Overview:
The Admissions Counsellor is an individual contributor role responsible for owning end-to-end
admissions conversations and driving conversions across the funnel through credible
counselling, clarity, and follow-through.
This is not a people-management role.
You will be accountable for your own pipeline, outcomes, and the quality of experience
delivered to students and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Admissions Counselling
● Own student and parent conversations from first contact to enrollment
● Conduct detailed need assessment and eligibility discussions
● Explain programs, outcomes, timelines, and policies with clarity and honesty
● Guide families through application, offer, and enrollment decisions
2. Funnel & Conversion Ownership
● Own individual conversion metrics across:
● Lead → Application
● Offer → Acceptance (O2A)
● Acceptance → Enrollment
● Proactively manage:
● Stalled cases
● Fence-sitters
● High-intent and high-risk leads
● Ensure timely follow-ups aligned with admissions cycles and deadlines
3. High-Quality Parent & Student Experience
● Handle parent conversations with maturity and confidence
● Address concerns around ROI, outcomes, and long-term career pathways
● Maintain a consultative tone focused on fit, not pressure
● Escalate complex cases appropriately when required
4. Process Discipline & CRM Hygiene
● Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates
● Follow admissions policies, communication standards, and compliance norms
● Ensure clean documentation across applications, offers, and enrollments
5. Ethics, Professionalism & Ownership
● Uphold ethical admissions standards at all times
● Take ownership of outcomes, learnings, and continuous improvement
● Collaborate with peers and managers to share best practices
Ideal Candidate Profile:
● 2–4 years of experience in:
● Admissions counselling
● Education sales
● Inside sales (high-ticket, consultative)
● Strong experience in parent-facing conversations is highly preferred
● Experience with structured funnels, targets, and CRMs is required
