Prepare and cook a variety of authentic South Indian dishes (e.g., dosa, idli, vada, sambar, chutneys, etc.) under the supervision of CDP or Sous Chef
Handle mise-en-place (ingredient prep) for assigned dishes and sections
Ensure proper cooking techniques, portion control, and food presentation standards
Monitor stock levels for South Indian ingredients; inform supervisors of shortages
Follow recipes, SOPs, and standard plating/presentation for all dishes
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of assigned section and kitchen equipment
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines (FSSAI standards, HACCP)
Assist in receiving and storing of kitchen supplies and ingredients
Support buffet setups, live counters (e.g., dosa counters), and special events
Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth and timely food service
Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control
