Job Profile: Data Entry OperatorKey Responsibilities:• Enter and update data into various databases or spreadsheets from source documents.• Verify data accuracy and correct any inconsistencies.• Maintain data confidentiality and comply with data integrity and security policies.• Review data for deficiencies or errors and report any issues.• Prepare, compile, and sort documents before data entry.• Generate standard reports or summaries from entered data as required.• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.• Maintain logs of activities and completed work.• Communicate with supervisors or other departments when necessary to resolve discrepancies.Required Skills & Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus.• Proven experience as a data entry operator or office clerk.• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and data entry software.• Typing speed of 40-60 words per minute (WPM) or higher with high accuracy.• Excellent attention to detail.• Strong organizational and time-management skills.• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.• Basic knowledge of office equipment like scanners and printers.
