The Assistant Operations will support day-to-day activities in the manufacturing and assembly of pouch packaging machines. This role ensures smooth coordination between production, procurement, design, and quality departments to meet project deadlines, maintain product quality, and achieve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience or knowledge of mechanical assembly, production planning, and shop-floor coordination in an industrial machinery manufacturing environment.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring daily assembly and fabrication activities.
Ensure timely availability of materials, components, and subassemblies for machine production.
Track job orders, production targets, and delivery schedules.
Support supervisors in allocating manpower and monitoring workflow efficiency.
Coordinate with the design and procurement teams to resolve material or drawing-related issues.
Maintain coordination between machine assembly, electrical, and testing departments.
Support implementation of lean manufacturing practices to minimize waste and improve productivity.
Monitor machine build progress and report any delays or bottlenecks.
Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure machines meet company and customer specifications.
Conduct in-process checks and maintain production quality records.
Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring quality issues.
Maintain documentation for ISO and internal audit requirements.
Prepare daily production and assembly progress reports.
Update ERP or production tracking systems with job completion details.
Maintain records of machine testing, dispatch readiness, and customer inspections.
Support the Operations Manager in preparing monthly performance reports.
Coordinate cross-functional communication between production, stores, and logistics.
Assist in shop-floor training programs on safety, 5S, and process discipline.
