About the Role:
We are looking for a SolidWorks Designer skilled in 3D modeling and detailing for fabrication, furniture, and structural components. The ideal candidate should also be proficient in AutoCAD for 2D drawings and layout development. This role involves working closely with the design and project execution teams to create precise, production-ready drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
Prepare 2D layouts and technical drawings in AutoCAD for execution and client approval.
Create detailed drawings for metal, wood, and structural fabrication works.
Collaborate with project and production teams to ensure drawings are feasible and aligned with site requirements.
Modify designs based on client feedback and site measurements.
Generate BOQs, exploded views, and part lists from SolidWorks assemblies.
Ensure drawings meet accuracy, dimensioning, and material standards.
Maintain organized drawing records and version control.
Provide technical support during prototype and production phases.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Design.
2–5 years of experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD design for fabrication, furniture, or civil projects.
Strong understanding of materials, joinery, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in 3D modelling, detailing, and rendering.
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Good knowledge of fabrication tolerances and production workflows.
Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
