Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing financial information to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient financial operations. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, performing reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

Manage general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).

Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.

Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time.

Monitor financial transactions and recommend improvements to internal controls.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).

Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Proficiency in Tally ERP 9

MS Excel skills

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with financial reporting and analysis.

Familiarity with ERP systems and data management tools.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Understanding of payroll, tax filing, and budgeting processes.

Typical Work Environment:

Office-based or hybrid role depending on company policy.

Standard business hours, with occasional overtime during audits or fiscal closing periods.
