Warehouse Manager

This is a pivotal management role that emphasises on leadership skills, time management, team management, people management, crisis management and the ability to perform within specif deadline to ensure completion of targets ensuring smooth operations. To manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies, mission, vision, goals simultaneously overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations. The responsibilities are:-

1. Oversee the warehouse activities such as receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations, order booking, billing, accounting, replacement, documentation and logistics. Ensure annual/periodical safety audit and compliance requirement as per company policies.

2. Provide instructions/assist to warehouse personnel in terms of work processes and programs.

3. To coordinate opening and closing the warehouse on time and conduct tool box meeting with all employees daily.

4. Allocate duties for employees and ensure that the discussion points are noted and acknowledge the same and appreciate/welcome suggestions on a proactive basis from team members.

5. Verify and ensure that all employees adhere to the personal grooming and hygiene standards.

6. Planning, organizing and controlling of warehouse comprehensive operations.

7. Develop, delegate, implement and follow through product movement and storage strategies within the warehouse.

8. Educate the team on company policies, mission, vision, goals, objectives and standard operating procedures to make sure that each workers/staff is informed and working properly.

9. Responsible for setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization of warehouse.

10. Analyze workflow and handle space requirement.

11. Act as SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) escalation for warehouse related issues among the team and the management.

12. Ownership and empower warehouse personnel with information on best safety practices and sharing best practices in work place.

13. Responsible to collate the daily reports from the warehouse staffs, analyze and formulate reports for internal and management meetings.

14. Responsible for stock accuracy of the warehouse stock- Daily PIC, Monthly and Annual full stock counting.

15. Responsible for stock reconciliation if there are any shortfalls or deficiency in the same.

16. Responsible for building effective plans to provide training to employees for working efficiently and smartly.

17. Responsible for developing cost reducing strategies for the entire activities of the warehouse on a continuous basis to achieve profit and perfection.

18. Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met.

19. Monitor and assist loading and unloading of items/product.

20. Responsible for ensuring that all the products are assigned to corresponding storage areas with the use of proper equipment and stacking and storing the merchandise.

21. Responsible to keep track of daily work in the warehouse with regard to the billing status.

22. Responsible for cash counter key and update the expenses in petty cash register after verification of the vouchers and scrutinize, reconciliation of accounts.

23. Responsible for maintaining all documents related to warehouse along with financial records, statutory/legal licenses simultaneously also responsible for keeping records of daily transaction of warehouse.

24. Responsible to ensure that goods stored in the warehouse are not damaged.

25. Prepare an annual budget, plan out expenses, analyze any variances and make necessary corrections to help the company achieve financial objectives.

26. Ensure all customer concerns are handled timely and accurately.

27. Make sure that the entire warehouse is always kept clean and sanitized.

28. Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures.

Required qualification:-

• Any Graduate / Post Graduate with ample experience in similar filed and having held the manager capacity in previous and recent organizations.

• It is a Full Time Warehouse / Logistics job for candidates with 2 - 5 years of experience.
