• Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce health, safety, and security protocols to protect staff and property and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies to meet delivery schedules and manage the flow of materials.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize warehouse layout, improve efficiency, and implement best practices.
• Reporting: Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facilities.
• Qualifications and skills
• Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse procedures, and supply chain operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite is often required.
• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Other Skills: Forklift certification can be a plus.
