Key Responsibilities
Assist in receiving deliveries and checking the quality and quantity of goods against purchase orders.
Properly store and organize products, ensuring that all items are stored in appropriate conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity) to preserve quality.
Label and maintain items, ensuring that stock is rotated regularly and older stock is used first (FIFO – First In, First Out method).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, ensuring that it is free from pests and well-stocked at all times.
Assist with stock-taking and inventory control by counting and recording items in the store.
Help with the preparation of goods for distribution to various departments or kitchen sections as needed.
Ensure that items are properly packed and handled to prevent damage.
Report any discrepancies, damage, or expired stock to the Store In-Charge or Warehouse Manager.
Assist with the issuance of materials and goods to kitchen staff and other departments.
Follow health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
Assist in maintaining proper documentation, such as inventory logs and delivery receipts.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
Strong attention to detail and ability to track inventory levels accurately.
Ability to lift and carry goods of various weights.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Good communication skills to interact with the store team and kitchen staff.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
