Position Overview
Vinra Construction is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee procurement operations for residential, commercial, and infrastructure construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, vendor management, inventory coordination, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely availability of materials required for project execution.
The role requires strong knowledge of construction materials, supplier networks, procurement strategies, and coordination with project, accounts, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery while maintaining quality and budget targets.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning & Material Management
Develop and implement procurement strategies for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
Analyze project BOQs, material schedules, and procurement requirements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and project-wise purchase plans.
Ensure timely procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services.
Monitor material consumption and coordinate replenishment requirements.
Prevent material shortages and project delays through proactive planning.
Coordinate with site engineers and project managers regarding material requirements.
Vendor Sourcing & Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
Maintain a strong vendor database for various construction materials and services.
Conduct vendor performance evaluations periodically.
Develop strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and uninterrupted supply.
Negotiate payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and discounts.
Maintain alternate vendor options for critical materials.
