Job Title: Purchase Import Manager
Location: Malad / Borivali
Experience Required: 4–5 years
Educational Qualification: Graduate / Postgraduate (preferably with a Diploma in Foreign Trade)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Import Manager to manage import operations and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with international trade regulations, documentation, customs compliance, vendor coordination, and working knowledge of Tally ERP.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Management:
Plan and execute procurement activities in alignment with organizational needs.
Generate and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Source materials at competitive pricing and maintain quality standards.
Monitor vendor performance and maintain approved vendor database.
Track supplier documentation and expected time of arrival (ETA) of goods.
Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and internal departments.
Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and forecasting demand.
Assist in budgeting and reporting for procurement-related expenditures.
Maintain purchase MIS and payment records for suppliers.
Import & Compliance Operations:
Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) for documentation and timely customs clearance.
Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, and other regulatory authorities.
Track shipments and provide timely updates to internal teams.
Handle duties, tariffs, and HS code classification.
Address and resolve customs-related issues and documentation discrepancies.
Prepare and manage documentation related to Letter of Credit (LC) and ensure compliance with LC terms.
Coordinate with the accounts team for timely vendor and shipping payments.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of international shipping and trade regulations.
Proficiency in Tally ERP (especially for purchase, sales, and payment entries).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing purchase and import operations.
Familiarity with budgeting and vendor contract evaluations
