Job Description

We are looking for a Pricing Executive -Freight Forwarding to join our team at at Divine India. forwarding is responsible for developing and optimizing competitive pricing strategies. They balance carrier negotiations, market dynamics, and cost analysis to secure profitable freight rates for ocean, air, and land shipments.

Core ResponsibilitiesRate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive freight rates, surcharges, and service contracts with shipping lines, airlines, and transport providers.Quote Preparation: Prepare timely, accurate rate proposals, RFQs, and tenders to support sales teams in winning and retaining business.Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, carrier capacity, and competitor pricing to forecast rate fluctuations.Profitability Optimization: Analyze cost structures, spot market pricing, and shipment margins to maximize company profitability.Database Management: Maintain and update tariff and buying rate databases across ERP or internal software systems.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, customer service, and overseas agents to ensure pricing aligns with service delivery and international trade regulations.Key Qualifications & SkillsExperience: Typically 5-10 years of experience in freight pricing, procurement, or operations within the logistics industry.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or a Diploma in Export and Import Management.Commercial Acumen: In-depth knowledge of global trade, shipping practices (FCL/LCL, air cargo, multimodal), and international regulations.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, cost modeling) and experience with industry-standard freight and CRM software.Human Voice from the Logistics and Freight IndustryWorking in this role often requires balancing high-pressure negotiations with a deep understanding of ever-changing global shipping markets.Pricing Manager on Freight Forwarding Industry PerspectivesTwo industry experts share their firsthand experiences navigating the complexities of freight pricing and carrier negotiations.“As a Pricing Manager for Import & Export (Sea & Air), the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the pricing strategies for import/export for both sea and air freight.
