This is an important role in the warehouse. The Supervisor must manage the warehouse, workers, stock, loading and unloading activities.
The Supervisor should make sure that all warehouse work is done correctly, safely and on time.
Responsibilities
Check with the warehouse workers about the arrival of delivery trucks and make a plan to receive them.
Count the goods when they are loaded into or unloaded from the truck.
Check the warehouse every day and make sure everything is in proper condition.
Scan the materials while loading and unloading.
Supervise all warehouse workers and check their daily work.
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) for all stock.
Check that the items loaded into the vehicle match the pick list.
Keep the storage area clean and properly arranged.
Keep all materials in the correct place with proper labels.
Keep the bin cards updated correctly.
Check the stock every day and do a full stock count every week.
Give work to workers based on their experience and skills.
Supervise goods receiving, order picking and goods dispatch. Make sure there are no mistakes or damage to stock.
Guide workers during loading and unloading and make sure goods are loaded safely into the vehicles.
Make sure products are delivered correctly and on time.
Encourage workers to work together as a team and achieve warehouse targets.
Keep the warehouse and equipment clean, safe and in good condition.
