The primary role is to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipping documentation and data within the company's import and export workflow.
Accurate Data Input: Perform high-volume, precise data entry of all import/export transaction details (e.g., shipment weights, volumes, product codes, freight charges) into the company’s internal tracking systems (ERP, MIS, or spreadsheets).
Record Keeping: Maintain and organize both physical and digital files for all shipping documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping policies.
Data Verification: Cross-check data in invoices, packing lists, and Bills of Lading/Airway Bills against purchase orders and internal records to identify and correct discrepancies.
Document Preparation: Assist in preparing and compiling basic shipping documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and draft customs declarations.
Document Coordination: Coordinate the flow of documents between the sales team, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
Shipment Tracking: Track the status of inbound (Import) and outbound (Export) shipments and update internal records with real-time delivery information.
