This role involves managing storage, packing, inventory, and distribution of goods in the warehouse. You will play an important part in the supply chain team. Key Responsibilities of Inventory Manager – Resort Industry
Inventory Planning & Control
Maintain optimum stock levels for all departments such as kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, bar, spa, and front office.
Avoid overstocking and stock shortages.
Purchase Coordination
Coordinate with purchase/vendors for timely procurement of materials and supplies.
Compare quotations and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Goods Receiving & Verification
Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices.
Ensure quality, quantity, expiry dates, and specifications are correct.
Stock Management
Monitor daily stock movement.
Maintain proper records of inward and outward inventory.
Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification.
Store Operations
Ensure proper storage conditions for food items, beverages, linen, chemicals, and operational supplies.
Implement FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO where applicable.
Inventory Software Management
Update inventory management systems/software regularly.
Generate reports related to stock consumption, variance, and wastage.
Cost Control
Minimize wastage, pilferage, and unnecessary expenses.
Track slow-moving and non-moving inventory items.
Department Coordination
Coordinate with chefs, housekeeping, engineering, and operations teams regarding stock requirements.
Ensure uninterrupted availability of operational materials.
Vendor Management
Maintain relationships with suppliers/vendors.
Follow up on pending deliveries and negotiate rates when required.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain proper documentation of GRNs, invoices, stock registers, and issue slips.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and resort SOPs.
Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
Report stock discrepancies and operational issues.
Team Supervision
Supervise storekeepers and inventory assistants.
Train staff on inventory handling procedures and SOPs.

Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is below 10th and 2 - 5 years of experience. Other requirements include attention to detail, organizing skills, and managing time. Basic computer knowledge for inventory tracking is a plus.
