We are seeking an efficient, disciplined, and process-driven Godown Supervisor to manage our central inventory, logistics, and ground-level labor workforce.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Godown Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will be entirely responsible for stock accuracy, managing a team of loading/unloading workers, ensuring zero damage during handling, and coordinating timely dispatches against showroom invoices. If you have strong leadership skills, a hawk-eye for inventory numbers, and experience in building material logistics, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do):

• Inventory & Stock Control: Oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of all materials (tiles, granites, sanitaryware). Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with showroom billing records to ensure zero inventory leakage.

• Labor & Team Management: Supervise, schedule, and lead the team of warehouse workers, loaders, and drivers. Maintain strict workplace discipline, productivity, and safety protocols on the floor.

• Dispatch & Route Coordination: Review daily delivery invoices from showrooms, assign loads to vehicles (autos, pick-up trucks), and optimize routes for timely, damage-free delivery to customer sites in Trivandrum.

• Batch & Shade Matching: Maintain strict quality control by ensuring tiles are organized, picked, and dispatched exactly according to their manufacturing batch/shade numbers to avoid mismatch issues at the customer's site.

• Space & Racking Optimization: Strategically plan warehouse floor layouts and racking systems to accommodate incoming corporate bulk shipments (e.g., Kajaria, Somany, Jaquar) while ensuring quick accessibility.

• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of Goods Received Notes (GRN), delivery chalans, stock damage reports, and return-to-vendor entries.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Leadership & Command: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and direct local warehouse labor workforces firmly and fairly.

• Numerical & Analytical Skills: A sharp eye for tracking item counts, measurements (square feet/box counts), and alphanumeric batch codes.

• Crisis Management: Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly, such as overlapping delivery deadlines, tight truck turnaround windows, or unexpected transport delays.

• Tech & Softwares: Basic comfort using inventory tracking software, ERPs, along with MS Excel and WhatsApp for real-time stock reporting to management.

• Languages: Excellent communication skills in Malayalam (to manage labor and local drivers) and working knowledge of English/Hindi (to coordinate with incoming truck drivers from other states).

Work Experience & Education Requirements:

• Education: Any Graduate (B.Com, BBA, BA, BSc) or Three-Year Diploma Holder. A background in Logistics/Supply Chain Management is a plus.

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of solid experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a warehouse/godown setting.

  • Direct experience in building materials, ceramic tiles, granites, cement, hardware wholesale, or heavy FMCG distribution distribution sectors is highly preferred.

• Local Factor: Must be a resident of Trivandrum.
