Barista

Cove Social is looking for a passionate, skilled, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in specialty coffee and enjoy creating great beverages and memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso-based beverages consistently and professionally.

• Dial in the grinder and maintain proper espresso extraction.

• Steam and texture milk correctly; create basic latte art.

• Prepare hot, cold, signature and non-coffee beverages according to Cove Social recipes.

• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion control.

• Operate and care for coffee machines, grinders and bar equipment.

• Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene at the coffee station.

• Follow opening, closing and daily bar SOPs.

• Monitor coffee, milk, syrups and other bar inventory.

• Minimize wastage and maintain proper stock rotation.

• Provide friendly and professional customer service.

• Handle busy service periods efficiently.

• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team.

• Assist with menu training, product knowledge and new beverage development.
  
  What We're Looking For

  • 0–3 years of barista experience preferred.

  • Experience with specialty coffee is an advantage.

  • Good understanding of espresso extraction and milk texturing.

  • Latte art skills preferred.

  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.

  • Good attention to detail and consistency.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Passion for coffee and hospitality.
