Job Description: Senior Automobile Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automobile Technician to join our team. This role is designed for a technical expert who bridges the gap between hands-on mechanical work and shop-floor leadership. You will be responsible for tackling complex diagnostics and ensuring the highest level of repair quality for passenger vehicles.

Experience & Education Requirements

• Core Technical Experience: 4 to 6 years of direct experience as a Technician/Mechanic.

• Total Career Tenure: 7 to 10 years of total experience in the automobile industry.

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues that require senior-level expertise.

• Quality Assurance: Review the work of junior technicians to ensure all vehicle reconditioning meets safety and performance standards.

• Process Efficiency: Optimize workshop workflows to improve turnaround time without compromising on quality.

• Technical Documentation: Read and interpret service manuals and diagnostic reports in basic English.

Mandatory Selection Criteria (Strict)

• OEM Experience: Experience in OEM-certified pre-owned outlets (e.g., Maruti True Value, Mahindra First Choice) is highly preferred.

• Vehicle Specialization: Expertise must be in Passenger Cars only. Experience with Commercial Vehicles (Trucks/Buses) will not be considered.

• Service Environment: We are looking for "service and repair" experts. Candidates with a background in Manufacturing/Plants or as Service Advisors are not eligible.

• Non-Compete Clause: Candidates from direct rivals (including Cars24, Gaadi.com, Rev, OLX, CarDekho, Carwale, or CarTrade) will not be considered for this role.

Required Skills

• Mastery of engine overhauls, transmission systems, and advanced electronics.

• Proficiency in using high-end diagnostic scanners and tools.

• Ability to mentor junior staff and maintain workshop discipline.
