Rework Engineer / Technician – Soldering & De-Soldering
Designation: Rework Engineer / Technician – Soldering & De-Soldering
A Rework Engineer / Technician specializes in soldering and de-soldering of SMD, PTH, and other electronic components. The role involves assembling and reworking complex Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) using hand-soldering techniques and hot-air rework tools. The position requires adherence to IPC standards, component replacement, board-level troubleshooting, and micro-soldering under microscopes.
Key Responsibilities
Component Replacement:
Perform precise soldering and de-soldering of SMDs, QFNs, Dual In-Line Packages (DIP), and BGAs (Ball Grid Array) using soldering stations, hot-air rework systems, and microscopes.
PCB Rework & Repair:
Modify electronic circuit boards, replace defective components, and repair damaged pads or traces by referring to schematics, BOMs, and technical instructions.
Quality Inspection:
Inspect solder joints as per IPC-A-610 standards, identify defects, and conduct functional checks to ensure product reliability.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Diagnose board-level faults and assist in root-cause analysis to improve repair effectiveness.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate repair logs, update rework records, and track documentation for reworked and repaired assemblies.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow strict ESD safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: SSLC / ITI / Diploma in Electronics or a related field
Experience: Fresher or experienced candidates with exposure to PCB assembly, rework, or electronic repair
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in hand-soldering and rework techniques
Ability to read and understand schematics and PCB layouts
Physical Skills:
Excellent hand-eye coordination for handling fine-pitch components
Compensation: ₹1,80,000 – ₹2,40,000 per annum
Preference: Female candidates preferred
