Job Overview
ITI Technicians are responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of technical equipment and systems. The role involves hands-on technical work across sectors such as Telecom/5G, Optical Fiber, EV, Solar, RACW, Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Installation & Setup
Install, assemble, and configure equipment, machines, and technical systems.
Perform wiring, cabling, connections, and component installation.
Follow technical specifications, SOPs, and manufacturer guidelines.
Test equipment after installation to ensure proper functioning.
Operation
Operate machines, tools, equipment, and technical systems safely.
Monitor equipment performance and identify operational issues.
Follow standard operating procedures and quality standards.
Maintain proper records of daily operations.
Maintenance
Carry out preventive and routine maintenance activities.
Inspect equipment and identify wear, damage, or faults.
Perform cleaning, servicing, lubrication, and basic component replacement.
Maintain maintenance records and service reports.
Troubleshooting & Repair
Identify technical faults and determine the root cause.
Carry out basic repairs and replacement of faulty components.
Test systems after repair and confirm proper operation.
Escalate major technical issues to supervisors or engineers.
Safety & Compliance
Follow company safety procedures and industry standards.
Use appropriate PPE and safety equipment.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Immediately report hazards, accidents, and unsafe conditions.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily work reports, checklists, service records, and maintenance logs.
Record issues identified, corrective actions taken, and components replaced.
Submit regular updates to supervisors or reporting managers.
Maintain proper records of tools and materials used.
Team Coordination
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, technicians, and other team members.
Support project implementation and technical activities.
Participate in training and skill-development programs.
Complete assigned tasks within the required timeline.
Qualification
ITI pass in relevant trades such as:
Electrician
Fitter
Electronics Mechanic
Wireman
Mechanic
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
COPA
Telecom
Other relevant ITI trades
Required Skills
Basic technical knowledge
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to read technical instructions/manuals
