Job Summary:

The Vending Machine Electrician is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components in vending machines. The role ensures machines are operational, safe, and comply with electrical codes and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, wire, and commission vending machines and related electrical components.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and minor mechanical faults in vending machines.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

• Replace or repair components such as circuit boards, motors, switches, sensors, and wiring.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

• Test machines for proper functionality after repairs or installations.

• Work with refrigeration components if machines include cooling units.

• Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and maintenance logs.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and company procedures.

• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for spare parts and technical support.

• Support other technicians and provide guidance when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Graduate or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics  

• Licensed electrician or relevant electrical certification will be addon.

• Proven experience in electrical repair and maintenance (vending machine experience is a plus).

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

• Familiarity with tools such as multimeters, soldering irons, and hand tools.

• Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems is a plus.

• Valid driver’s license (if travel to vending locations is required).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and crouch during service and installation work.

Comfortable working in tight spaces or outdoors depending on machine placement.

Work Environment:

Involve travel to various customer or company vending machine locations.

Indoor and outdoor work, depending on placement of machines.

May require occasional evening or weekend work for emergency repairs or installations.
